Pastor’s Pen for Sunday, January 5, 2020
“Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them;
For the Lord your God, He is the One Who goes with you.”  Deuteronomy 31:6

A New Year’s Promise: He Is With You

Standing at the beginning of another year,
We can be tempted to cave into fear,
Or looking back, 
we may have to wipe away a tear,
But remember, He is with you!

Questions can arise,
Past regret has its ties,
The enemy breathes his lies,
Do not fear, God is with you!

For He has promised every day,
He will be there to make a way,
Come whatever, come what may,
He is the One Who is with us!

So don’t allow words of doubt or doom,
To press you in, and lock you in your room,
Jesus has risen from the tomb,
And He is with us!

For our future does not depend,
On what the days may send,
Jesus holds us, He’s our closest Friend,
Have courage, He is with us!

So enter 2020 with expectation,
Turn away from fear and frustration,
Believe He will provide for every occasion,
For He is with us!
