Proper Attire
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another...And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity."
Colossians 3:12-14
As believers in Jesus we are reminded of our "Proper Attire". Starting with compassion: (seeing people through His eyes and responding) we add kindness which is authentic and genuine. To these add humility (seeing ourselves as God sees us) plus gentleness, which reflects the attitude of the heart. Then don't forget patience, which walks in God's timing, endurance and strength.
How is this possible? Abiding and obeying, seeking and submitting to the Lord; allowing the Holy Spirit to fill us with as we walk in Him. Sounds impossible? No, just our reasonable service of worship! (See Romans 12:1-2)
Top of these virtues with love and you'll be dressed for any occasion, occurrence or opportunity!
